WEDNESDAY-THURSDAY Feb 17-18: Arrive to Belize and be Shuttled to Cahal Pech Resort.

 

FRIDAY Feb 19: 11:00AM- 3:00PM Race Check-In at Cahal Pech Resort

FRIDAY Feb 19: 6:00PM-9:00PM Pre Race Meeting & Dinner

 

SATURDAY Feb 20: Race Starts approximatley 10:00AM

 

WEDNESDAY Feb 24: Course closes 5:00PM

 

THURSDAY Feb 25: 6:00PM to 9:00PM post race dinner and awards ceremony

 

FRIDAY- SATURDAY Feb 26-27: Shuttle to Belize Airport



Disciplines:​  mountain biking, canoeing, trekking/running/orienteering. spelunking, fixed ropes-ascending, rappeling and tyroleoan.

The Maya Mountain Adventure Challenge (MMAC ) has taken on a life of its own. What started as a typical adventure race production has developed into a testament of one of the last truly unspoiled corners of the world. On our first trip to Belize in February 2012, we were introduced to the beauty of the Maya Mountains and its people. When we returned in November of 2012, Friends of Conservation and Development (FCD) director, Rafael Manzanero, unlocked for us the secrets of the Chiquibul and the Mountain Pine Ridge and, with them, the possibilities they contained for an epic adventure race.
